Me and My Union Suit, Back After A Stint in the Woods

Following a short break over the past 10 days up at my buddy's Canadian mountain cabin with a couple of other pals, I'm back to working on postings for the upcoming Union Suit Season. It's getting colder and colder in northern Idaho where I call home.

In this photo, I'm wearing a new Indera Union Suit I researched and ordered just before my trip. I like it. As you may know, I've not been a fan of Indera all that much in the past, as I didn't think it was of the best quality. And I hated the fact that it only had six buttons, so it gapped in the wrong places, if you know what I mean. But now the quality is better and this union suit has eight buttons which is just enough. I prefer nine or ten buttons up the front but this will do fine. Their quality is now better, especially along the seams, and the wrist and ankle cuffs are very well made and comfortable. These cuffs should keep the cold air away from my arms and legs.

Be warned before buying Indera Union Suits that the material is light weight and I mean, light weight. But it was great for my wearing to bed as pj's this past week and I'll look forward to wearing this long underwear in the Rocky Mountains, around the lake, and into the woods in late spring, early fall, and next summer. In the meantime, I will be wearing heavier weight union suits for the next few months due to colder weather on the horizon.

So, join me for another season of Union Suit Fan and my companion blog, Union Suit Fans in the Limelight!  Most important, don't forget to continue emailing me photos and articles of your favorite underwear for future postings... Chris

  2. Welcome back Chris. It continues to cool off here in NE Ohio as well but as is typical for this area we have been experiencing crazy fluctuations in our temperatures. This past week started with seasonally cool temps followed by a couple of downright cold days with the last two days in the upper 70’s. I went from wearing light weight union suits to heavier ones to boxer shorts in the space of six days. I agree with you that the Indera union suits are nice cooler but not truly cold weather wear. I have a couple of them and also two J. Crew unions that I wear on cool days. Our cold weather is just around the corner as you mentioned and I’m sure I will go from being suited some of the time to being buttoned 24/7 in the very near future……Buckeye Mike.

  3. Thanks guys. Us boys up in the cabin running around in our long underwear reminded me of a great movie I have watched more times than I can remember, Escanava in Da Moonlight with Jeff Daniels. I hope to feature in my other blog, Union Suit Fans in the Limelight.. Chris

  4. the light weight Indra may be lower quality but the light weight of the suit makes it suitable for warmer weather and lets me be suited more of the year
