Today, May 3rd, is National Fitness Day
As a matter of fact, it's National Fitness and Sports Month! So pick up some weights and get to moving that body, Union Suit Fans!
Join Illinois' Retro Jeff and others on your favorite blog every couple of days for a longgggg johnnnn look at sport fans, more fitness techniques and some great "Retro" underwear ads of athletes from yesteryear.
Now there's an athelete that looks darn comfortable working out in his long underwear! I think I'll try those gym clothes like he has on. Good showing, Retro Jeff....Loren, Tulsa, OK
ReplyDeleteThank you, Loren. Union suits are my home workout wear for about 9 months of the year. I especially like the 50/50 cotton/poly ones for this as they are super durable and stretch where they need to stretch. Try it. You'll like it! But I'm not sure how this look would go over at your local gym. ----- Retro Jeff in Illinois
ReplyDeleteRetro: I wear my union suits to the gym under my clothes but change out of them in the locker room before donning gym shorts and t-shirt! …. Loren
DeleteWell Loren, I'd say you're half way there. Next time, head for the workout room in your union suit and if anyone questions it, just play the forgetful kid like Chris and say you left your gym clothes at home! LOL ----- Retro Jeff in Illinois
DeleteLooking good, Retro. I wear my unionsuits year-round and that also means to the gym [but under my jumpsuits, not gym gear]… 😊… I am Ash from California and new to this group and blog. I hope you gentlemen will welcome one more unionsuits gent into your group! Now about that unionsuit, Retro… bet it’s perfect for working some weights!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the brotherhood of union suit fans Ash. Happy to be have you on board. Email Chris a couple of pics and I’m sure he will work them into a post…….Buckeye Mike.
ReplyDeleteYes indeed, Ash. So glad you found us! Now slip into your stretchiest union suit and join us in celebrating Physical Fitness and Sports Month! ----- Retro Jeff in Illinois
ReplyDeleteI also like working out in my union suit, I feel like John L. Sullivan when exercise in my Long Johns. 💪🏻. Alex from RI
ReplyDeleteAlex, you probably know that the term "long johns" likely came from John L. Sullivan's use of them as fighting apparel. Send Chris a photo in your best "fighting fit" pose and I bet he'll work it into a post for Physical Fitness and Sports Month. ----- Retro Jeff in Illinois
DeleteRetro Jeff let me grow out my handbag mustache first then I’ll slide into my JLS drawers and get a photo, Alex
DeleteAlex, you know the US Fans will hold you to that. LOL Don't you love AI trying to out think us? I'm sure you meant "handle bar" not "hand bag". I've learned from experience that after you hit PUBLISH, you need to re read your comment because frequently AI "helps" you out by making a change. ----- Retro Jeff in Illinois
DeleteI meant Handlebar, darn spell check , Alex
