They've Got a Ticket to Ri-ide!
Paul and Tim, railroader buddies, together again in their red Union Suit Underwear...
Literally days after I received reunion photos from Stanley Steamer and RC in the Mountains of Georgia, I heard from Paul of rural central Oklahoma about his "reunion" with Tim in the mountains of Colorado. He told me that he and Tim, who still lives in Kansas where both of them grew up, have known each other for about five years. They decided to meet in Durango, Colorado in May of 2024 to ride the Durango and Silverton Narrow Guage Railroad. Quite fitting for two 'railroad men" who "volunteer on tourist railroads," don't you think? These two union suit fans had a great weekend together, riding the rails while wearing their long red underwear under overalls.
Paul emailed that he has viewed both of my union suit blogs for several years now which he "thoroughly enjoys." Apparently, so too, has Tim. He mentioned he really likes "the union suit antics of RC and Stanley. What a fun thing to do."When Tim suggested they send photos of themselves wearing their bright "one-piece wonders" out in Durango, Paul declared, "why not?!"
The two buddies are shown here, enjoying each other's company and relaxing after a day of riding the rails, and afterward stripping down to something much more comfortable than overalls.
Paul reports that once they figured out each had a mutual love for red long johns, they became best buds.

So, Paul and Tim, Stan and RC prove that you can have more laughs as a Union Suit Fan when hanging out with a buddy. I've included a number of "Buddy" photo postings and stories over the years, guys enjoying others while in very comfortable attire.
Chris, thank you for sharing these great stories of comradery! Paul and Tim, and RC and Stanley, united over union suits. As members of our United Brotherhood of Union Suit Fans they all do us proud! When I'm trying to take photos for USF I've often thought how great it would be to have the help of a union suit buddy. Ten seconds to get into position after tripping the camera is not easy, especially if you are holding props of any kind. Ever think of setting up a Union Suit Friends network, Chris, so that fans can connect? ----- Retro Jeff in Illinois
