Hello, Union Suit Fans. I've posted another Trivia Question for you to answer on my companion blog, Union Suit Fans in the Limelight. Switch over and help Sarahjane Blum, owner of New York's Grapefruit Moon Gallery. Take a look and help answer whether this illustration is of a 1940's Hollywood actress:
Hey, Union Suiters: I am going fishing for a week or two. In the meantime work on this TV Trivia: From what show is this shot taken, and who is the man standing there in only his Union Suit?
Added June 1, 2022: Several of you figured out portions of this TV trivia scene (see the comments below). This photo is taken from ABC's television show, Bewitched, in 1965 starring Dick York as Darrin. He's the man in the brown suit who "magically" exchanges clothes with his client and the Policeman (Dick Balduzzi) who is writing him a ticket for parking next to a fire hydrant and for indecent exposure, running around outside in his underwear! The cop ends up in his union suit.
And, yes, that is Marion Lorne as Samantha's bumbling relative, Aunt Clara (one of my most favorites). She caused the underwear chaos. Here are some more classic scenes:
Also, I will leave you this, courtesy of my pal, Clem.
This past Thursday, May 4, 2022, marked the 6th Anniversary of Union Suit Fan.
Yes, it's been 72 months since we dipped our toe into the world of Union Suits. That first ripple affect created a tidal wave of shared fun, photos, history, and news about all things buttoned up, buttoned down and buttoned in the rear. I've been privileged to have met many warm and comfortable folks over this time and and had the honor of introducing them to you. You've seen them and me stripped down to our essentials. Articles and photos have brought historic and contemporary underwear, the long, one-piece kind.
This blog and my companion blog, Union Suit Fans in the Limelight would not be successful without your devotion and input to our warm and comfortable subject. There's plenty more to come. I look forward to you and your underwear in the coming days. All the best, Chris.
Hy Hintermeister's The Boy and His Grandpa for May
Like Coach Les in the last posting, the kid's grandpa wears his union suit in all seasons, year around too.
