Since my December 19th posting of RC outside in his bright red union suit clearing his driveway, I received this photo of Illinois' Retro Jeff, ready, waiting and looking to scoop some snow of his own....
He probably won't have to wait long!
Since May, 2016, an entertaining blog featuring men's and boys' long one-piece underwear aka union suits. Considered old-fashion by some but known to be warm, comfortable, and fun to wear by those of us who swear by 'em! ... Should have had your top hat on.
ReplyDeleteI felt the top hat would make me look a bit "over dressed" for the occasion.-----Retro Jeff of Illinois
DeleteSo Retro, did you ever get any snow there in Illinois?! …. Rhode Island Randall
DeleteNot yet Rhode Island. Monday night/Tuesday could get up to 8". Looks like you got off easier than Massachusetts this weekend. ----- Retro Jeff
DeleteSnow wise, yes better off …but cold enough weather so I’ve been wearing my union suits since first of October…Randall
DeleteWaiting for snow here in Northern Virginia.
ReplyDeleteHaven’t had any snow worthy of shoveling here in NE Ohio yet either…….Buckeye Mike
ReplyDeleteHey Retro. I just saw a navy blue Dodge Caravan with a vanity license plate “RTROMAN”. I couldn’t get a good look at the driver. Was that you ?….,..Buckeye Mike
ReplyDeleteGreat plates Buckeye, but Saturday I was trying to dig out from nearly a foot of snow in northern Illinois. With the wind and bitter cold that was a double union suit job!_____Retro Jeff of Illinois
ReplyDeleteWe finally got enough snow here in NE Ohio (about 3/4 inch)to warrant clearing the sidewalks. I did that yesterday afternoon. With the temperature in the single digits and wind chill well below zero I wore my warmest union suit but it was well covered by my heaviest jeans, a warm puffer coat, Carhartt beanie, Timberline boots and warm gloves. It needs to be at least 20 degrees warmer for me to clear the walks in just a union suit or even two union suits. Stay warm my friend…….Buckeye Mike
ReplyDeleteI guess I need to clarify that it was double unions under jeans and winter jacket, Buckeye. The day I took the photo with no snow, the temperature was near 50. ______Retro Jeff in Illinois
