Chris: Perusing your blog again, I viewed a cartoon ad you posted last spring of a kid in his boxers soaking a pair of Levi's overnight.* You said you too use to soak your Levi jeans to get them shrunk for a proper fit. As a millennial, I have not had to go to so much trouble. But, I ran across this ad of another dude in his boxer shorts soaking his jeans too. I know this is a union suit blog, but if you think worthy, post this one too:

Speaking of boxers, in this day of having to stay home to be safe, a lot of us, working from home, are dressing informally including going on-line without our pants like these guys:

"The best ads evoke emotions or feelings. Not surprising since a large percentage of purchases are emotion driven. Even though I have not been camping or fishing for at least 20 years, I can "feel" what is going on in this picture.....the morning stretch, the feel and smell of the fog and the sense of being one with nature. Looks like this guy is about to enjoy his first coffee of the day in his union suit just like I am doing as I write this. Come to think of it, this is probably what a lot of us look like as we first get up and stretch. I saw this ad when it ran some years ago but didn't notice his reflection in the truck door. Way cool! Truly a great picture....makes me want a Chevy truck and a tent ....Buckeye Mike"

Chris:  Today is Halloween dress up day at the middle school where I work.  My outfit is a sensation!!!  The kids love it and the principal?  She said I had the best costume... Buckeye Mike

For many of us, especially in the northern portion of the U.S. and Canada, it is Union Suit Weather.  I've been wearing union suits 24/7 for several weeks now in northern Idaho. Here at my lake home in the trees, lower temperatures, cold rain and some snow has had me pulling on warm, comfortable long underwear not just to sleep in but all day long. And, for a Union Suit Fan, that's alright with me. 

Union suits come in a variety of colors these days as you probably know. No longer is a guy restricted to only red and white winter underwear. You get choices in the modern era!

Party Marty!

Don't you love a good wager? I do and that's why this blog has featured a number of them. Whether it was Ritchie Cunningham of the TV series “Happy Days,” or Michael of Lakewood, Colorado, football fan, Dave Doyle, or Tom and RC. You've seen their antics here on Union Suit Fan. And, what did they all had in common? The loser of the bet had to strip down to his union suit and run around in public. Well, here's one I found on YouTube that will most likely make you wish you had been there to witness this one:

Atlanta Falcons vs Cincinnati Bengals circa 1981, it’s a nationally televised game. It’s about 20 degrees out and “Party Marty” decides to accept a dare. Some tequila and several bud lights later he strips down to his red long underwear and swoops in for the NFL surprise play of the YEAR!! Astonished, the players and referees look on as Marty slides in for the steal and takes off running in his union suit.

The crowd cues in on what’s happening the stadium erupts with cheers and unadulterated support as Marty hucks it up those stairs. Classic. The more you watch the better it gets too. I’d love to find out who he is! And the cheerleader? She’s stoked. And those butt taps!? Solid gold!
