International Brotherhood of Union Suit Fans!

What happend to the month of May? Is it me, or do the weeks and months just go by quicker and quicker. At this rate, I will exhaust my supply of union suit stories and photos!! We come now to the final name from the bottom of my hat. It is time to recognize one additional member to our International Brotherhood of Union Suit Fans!

Actually, I held this name out on purpose in order to add him last for special recognition.

As I said in my very first International Brotherhood posting on May 4, 2024, Retro Jeff of Illiois conceived of the idea of us forming a Union of Union Suits, of sorts. He sent along a "Proud Union Member" example for use in my blog, beginning with this one....a smartly, walking upright suit of long underwear, the button down variety:

So, why not create and award proud, one-piece long underwear posters to recognize those brothers who have been so instrumental in whatever success this family-oriented union suit blog has enjoyed, a brotherhood union (suit):

Today then, on the last day recognizing our International Brotherhood members, it's especially appropriate to include (last, but not least, as the grown-ups say) your buddy and mine, Retro Jeff.

He may be one of the short-time Union Suit Fan contributors but, boy, has he made up for lost time. What a pleasure to have him as part of our fraternity. Without doubt, he has put the "U" in Underwearing.

Over the past year, we have witnessed Jeff chasing ghosts, playing the violin, cleaning house, waiting on a snow storm, being abducted by aliens, and succumbing to interrogation by the Men In Black, all the while in his union suit.

And he's not done yet. Wait until you see what he's cooking up for us in future postings!

So, join me in a salute to one of the leaders of this blog. Who knows, when I give up the ghost, maybe Retro Jeff of Illinois can take over! All the best, my friend, with my thanks, welcome to the fraternity of the International Brotherhood of Union Suit Fans!  And now, take some time off and rest. You deserve it! Just keep that flap buttoned.

Union Suit Fans: if I have left any of you out of this month's true and tried union suit wearers jubilee, please accept my apology. It was not intentional. And let me know of my error by sending me an updated photo of you in your favorite underwear and I will add you and your story, with pleasure... Chris Ayers, Union Suit Fan.

  1. Chris, I'm glad you were able to use my UBUSF poster inspiration to recognize and honor your dedicated contributing Union Suit Fans. For myself, finding and creating material to submit over this past year has been a fun "escape" from the reality of this messed up world we find ourselves in. I just hope the ideas keep coming to me and the other members of the brotherhood so that we can help you keep this fun and interesting blog running for many more years. ----- Retro Jeff in Illinois

  3. Agree with Jeff and Rich. It was been fun and interesting this past month seeing everyone that has been important contributors. But what about you Chris?!?! Don't you get to be recognized as a member of the Brotherhood? Seems like you are the major contributor of this fascinating look into the world of us union suit fans... Max of Topeka

    1. Annonymous: I've not heard of any problems in regard to small photos. I double checked on my computor, ipad, Apple iphone and Apple iphone: "Vew Web Version" and I have no problem. I don't know what platform you are viewing. Have you had problems in the past? ...Chris

  5. The photos on my iPhone in regular and in View Web Version are fine. I don’t see that they are small.
And I agree with Max, I think Chris should be recognized as part of the brotherhood. Not sure how we do that. But he’s the number one, inspiring, union suit guru!!

  6. When I was inspired to create the IBUSF posters, it was as much to honor Chris and his prescient founding of Union Suit Fan as it was to give the brotherhood a graphic representative image. Each of the final designs incorporated the founding date, 2016, the year Chris took that leap of faith that there was indeed a community interested in all things union suit. The poster with the aqua background was particularly created with Chris in mind. Those that have received emails from Chris may have noticed that the poster is created from the same image he uses for his email icon. Without Chris, we never would have come together as the International Brotherhood of Union Suit Fans to share stories, laugh, and learn about our favorite underwear. Thanks again Chris for taking that leap of faith 8 years ago. ----- Retro Jeff in Illinois
